- Submit official transcripts demonstrating a master’s degree related to your ministry context or calling from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
- Applicants must possess a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Bible (NBST, OBST, OTCL, NGRK courses), Theology, or Ministry-related disciplines (apologetics, church history, discipleship, evangelism, global studies, homiletics, ministry leadership). These 18 hours are required but are no longer mandated to be part of the master’s degree program (effective Fall 2021).
- Passing grades in these 18 graduate Bible hours are acceptable for admission, provided the overall Master’s GPA meets program requirements.
- Relevant Graduate level ICE Exams can fulfill a portion or all of these credit hour requirements.
- Provide a Professional Vita outlining:
- At least 2 years of ministry experience of a pastoral nature (pastor, assistant pastor, youth pastor, missionary, etc.) connected to a church body.
- Statement of Purpose – Submit a minimum 300-word statement detailing:
- Your ministry or vocational calling.
- Your ministry and career objectives.
- A significant ministry challenge in contemporary culture that warrants advanced professional study.
- Ecclesiastical Endorsement: Obtain an endorsement from your church or employing organization affirming your participation in the doctorate in ministry program.
