Driven by a profound commitment to combating cancer, I joined the esteemed team at Fox Chase Cancer Center, witnessing firsthand the significant impact we collectively achieve in patient’s lives. My journey in surgical oncology began with a general surgery residency in New York City, inspired by my father, a dedicated surgeon with years of experience in cancer treatment. Continuing my specialization in Philadelphia, I undertook a rigorous two-year fellowship in complex surgical oncology at Fox Chase. This invaluable experience involved close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, focusing on a wide spectrum of cancers, including colorectal, liver, pancreatic, and stomach cancers, as well as melanoma and sarcomas. Under the mentorship of leading experts, I refined my surgical skills and deepened my knowledge, which I now apply to my practice.
My expertise spans the full spectrum of surgical approaches, from traditional open surgery to minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques. This comprehensive training allows me to tailor treatment plans to the unique needs of each patient. My particular areas of focus include the management of sarcomas and cancers of the colorectum, pancreas, and melanoma. Fox Chase Cancer Center is at the forefront of minimally invasive surgical techniques for colorectal cancer, and these advanced approaches are also integral to our treatment of pancreatic diseases. I am also keenly interested in hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), a cutting-edge treatment following cytoreductive surgery for peritoneal cancers, such as appendix cancer, peritoneal mesothelioma, and pseudomyxoma peritonei. Furthermore, our team is dedicated to exploring and researching the expanded application of HIPEC in treating colorectal and gastric cancers, aiming to broaden its benefits for patients.
