“Your existence is evidence that this generation needs something that your life contains.” This powerful quote from Dr. Myles Munroe’s book, “In Pursuit of Purpose,” has been resonating deeply with me, especially after a series of recent engagements where I connected with numerous individuals who affirmed the value of my contributions.
August was a month filled with opportunities to share and mentor, beginning with the Wetech Mentorship program graduation. As a mentor and keynote speaker, witnessing the growth of the mentees over three months and their enthusiasm for personal development was truly rewarding. My keynote focused on building a personal brand identity to thrive in the competitive tech job market. I emphasized that everyone possesses a unique brand, waiting to be discovered and defined.
Continuing the theme of impact, I had the privilege of presenting at the GenZtechies Hackfest conference. My keynote address centered on driving innovation through data. My perspective on innovation is rooted in the synergy of data, problem-solving, and people. I encouraged the attendees to explore innovative avenues, even in existing inventions, as long as they address real-world problems. Furthermore, I urged them to delve into the world of artificial intelligence and leverage its immense potential for problem-solving through model training and large-scale data utilization.
The journey of mentorship and sharing continued at the alx_africa “Find My Place Festival.” As an invited mentor, I had the invaluable opportunity to share my experiences, knowledge, and challenges with learners and fellows, aiming to inspire and guide them on their paths.
Adding to these fulfilling experiences, I was recently recognized by Data Science Connect as one of the top 99 data influencers to follow in 2023. This recognition has prompted a moment of reflection on the scale of the impact I am making. Instead of immediately pursuing the next achievement, I am intentionally pausing to appreciate the present and the journey.
As September unfolds, I am excited to share announcements about my ongoing commitment to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Dr. Munroe’s words serve as a constant compass: “You will never experience true fulfillment and peace until you are executing the purpose for which you were born.” Despite my introverted nature, I remain dedicated to placing myself in environments where my God-given talents can be expressed and contribute to the greater good.
Wishing a happy new month to my 30k+ LinkedIn community!
