Granger Medical in West Valley City is excited to announce the arrival of Dr. Wood to our growing team of dedicated physicians. Dr. Wood joins Granger Internal Medicine, bringing his expertise and patient-centered approach to our West Valley City clinic. Having recently completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC), Dr. Wood is a Utah native eager to serve his home community.
Dr. Wood’s Journey to Granger Internal Medicine
Born and raised in Utah, Dr. Wood’s path to medicine reflects a deep commitment to his roots. He obtained both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Physiology and Developmental Biology from Brigham Young University in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Building upon this strong foundation in biological sciences, he pursued his medical degree at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) at Midwestern University, graduating in 2018 as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
During his medical school years, Dr. Wood gained diverse clinical experience across hospitals and clinics in the Phoenix area, and broadened his training through rotations in Utah Valley, Texas, and Florida. His post-graduate training focused in East Idaho, primarily at Bingham Memorial Hospital and EIRMC, culminating in his Internal Medicine residency. Now, Dr. Wood is delighted to return to Utah and establish a lasting practice within Granger Medical, serving the West Valley community.
