He pursued his interest by earning a double major in biology and psychology at Rutgers before graduating magna cum laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1985. Dr. Burke further honed his skills through a rigorous surgical/medical residency program at Peninsula Hospital Center in New York.

He is a distinguished fellow of The American Academy of Foot Surgeons and The American Academy of Foot Orthopedists and Primary Podiatric Medicine.
