As we approach the week of March 3-5, Doctor Phillips High School is focused on supporting our 9th and 10th-grade students as they undertake the third and final Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T.) Progress Monitoring Assessment (PM3). This crucial assessment is designed by the Florida Department of Education to provide a comprehensive summative score, evaluating student mastery of grade-level content standards at the culmination of the academic year.
Parents of Doctor Phillips High School students are reminded that the results of the F.A.S.T. assessments will be readily available within 24 hours of test completion through the Florida Reporting System, accessible via the FAST portal. Detailed instructions on how to navigate the Florida Reporting System and access your student’s PM3 scores can be found in this helpful guide. We kindly request parents of our freshman and sophomore students to ensure their children arrive punctually for school each day from March 3-5, well-rested and prepared to demonstrate their learning.
As Doctor Phillips High School enters this important spring testing period, we extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated teachers and leadership team. Their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts since the commencement of the school year on August 12th have been instrumental in fostering a robust learning environment. The emphasis on high-quality instruction, coupled with the invaluable support from our parents and guardians at home, is what truly empowers our Panthers to excel in their assessments and throughout their academic journey. Our community should be proud of the exceptional educators at Doctor Phillips High School, who consistently arrive on campus each morning ready to provide every student with an enriching and impactful education.

Beyond academics, Doctor Phillips High School is also celebrating significant achievements in athletics. Our Lady Panthers Basketball team delivered a stunning performance last Friday, triumphing over Centennial High School with a decisive 74-41 victory. This impressive win has propelled them into the prestigious Final 4 round of the State Championship playoff series. The Lady Panthers are set to compete against Miami-Dade County’s Doral Academy Preparatory School (21-7) on March 7 in Lakeland, in what promises to be an exciting state semifinal matchup. For those interested in following their journey, the bracket details are available on the FHSAA website. To learn more about their opponent, visit the Doral Academy Preparatory School website.
For Panther sports enthusiasts, the weather forecast for the upcoming week appears favorable, offering a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some quality family time while supporting our student-athletes. We encourage you to check the Doctor Phillips High School athletics schedule and come out to cheer on our teams. Our athletics department is exceptional, and this season is a fantastic time to witness the talent and sportsmanship of our Panther athletes.
