Following agreement setup, an activation request must be submitted within Axxess Home Health to enable the Doctor Alliance integration. To do this, navigate to Company Setup under the Admin tab in Axxess Home Health. Within Company Setup, select the Integrations tab, locate the Orders/Document Management section, and click Enable under Doctor Alliance. Configure your preferred settings and click Submit Request.

Upon enabling the Doctor Alliance integration, the Document Management functionality is automatically activated. This feature ensures that all documents processed through Doctor Alliance are automatically linked to patient charts within Axxess.
Users have the option to also enable the Orders Management feature by selecting the checkbox next to Orders Management. This activation allows for the electronic transmission of approved orders from the Orders To Be Sent screen to Doctor Alliance for streamlined management and tracking within the Doctor Alliance application, accessible after Doctor Alliance login.
For enhanced automation, organizations can choose to automatically send approved orders to Doctor Alliance by checking the corresponding box. If this option is not selected, orders are sent manually through the Orders To Be Sent screen, found under View ➜ Orders Management. Automatic sending ensures that orders approved in the Quality Assurance Center (or those bypassing QA) are instantly sent to Doctor Alliance for processing.
After an administrative user clicks Enable ➜ Submit Request, Axxess receives an activation notification. An Integrations team member will then contact the client to schedule a go-live date. This agreed-upon date is displayed in the Effective Date field in Company Setup, signifying the integration’s activation and its addition to the organization’s Axxess subscription. From this date forward, you can begin to utilize Doctor Alliance login for integrated document and order management.
Managing Documents Post Doctor Alliance Login
With the Doctor Alliance integration active, a pre-defined list of document types is automatically populated in the Documents list in Axxess Home Health.

Once physician orders are generated and ready for signatures, they are accessible on the Orders To Be Sent screen within Axxess Home Health.

The Orders To Be Sent screen includes a Delivery Method filter to refine order management. Columns for Delivery Method and Vendor allow users to quickly identify orders designated for Doctor Alliance. When Doctor Alliance is enabled, all orders marked with Electronic delivery and Doctor Alliance as the vendor are automatically routed to Doctor Alliance after Doctor Alliance login.

If Doctor Alliance is enabled and a delivery method is not specified for an order, a grayed-out checkbox and a tooltip message will prompt the user to select a delivery method.
Physician order delivery methods can be set by clicking the hyperlinked physician’s name in the Physician column and editing the Order Delivery Method on the Edit Physician screen, accessible via both View and Admin tabs.

Administrators should verify that physician contact details, including mailing addresses and fax numbers, are current on the Edit Physician screen.
