David Anderson, MD, MS, FACC, FSCAI, widely recognized as a distinguished figure in cardiovascular medicine, serves as a Professor of Medicine within the esteemed University of Florida Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. In addition to his professorship, Doctor David Anderson holds the significant roles of Director of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization at UF Health, solidifying his position as a leader in his field. While professionally known as R. David Anderson, he is often addressed as Dave by colleagues and patients alike, with some preferring the more formal R. David. Prior to his impactful tenure at UF Health, doctor david anderson contributed his expertise to the Division of Cardiology at Sarasota Memorial Hospital throughout the 2000s.

Dr. Anderson’s journey in medicine began with a strong foundation at Johns Hopkins University, where he earned his medical degree in 1990. His commitment to rigorous training led him to the University of Maryland Hospital for an internship and residency. During his residency, his exceptional skills and leadership potential were recognized with the honor of being named chief resident in the department of medicine.
