Fans can expect to be thrown straight into the action. “We pretty much pick up exactly where we left her and Noah, so it’s full pelt from the off, and in no time, they’re back on an adventure.” Tennant also highlighted the fun of working alongside Sean Biggerstaff, who plays Noah, emphasizing the blend of on-screen chemistry and real-life friendship that enriches their performances in this Jenny Doctor Who series.
Anna Lundberg joins the cast as Jexabel, a new nemesis described as a formidable and wealthy force in the universe. Lundberg shared insights into her character: “Jexabel is a mysterious force of nature, very temperamental, and she is the richest being in the universe. She is trying to create a superhuman kind of civilisation, and she doesn’t care who goes down along the way. Tennant further elaborated on the exciting dynamic with Lundberg, “It’s very exciting working with Anna again, as a baddie to my goodie this time. And it’s nice to have someone that you know very well is not really like that – she’s much nicer in real life. But unfortunately, the consequence of changing history means that Noah is now the cyborg pursuing Jenny!” This dramatic reversal sets the stage for complex emotional and action-driven narratives as Jenny confronts a transformed Noah. Fitton also explained the genesis of Jexabel as Jenny’s opposite, “We wanted to have Jenny’s nemesis appear – kind of the opposite of her. So, Jexabel Glyce was born. She’s somebody whose heritage has given her everything – privilege and wealth.” He praised Anna Lundberg’s portrayal, noting, “Anna Lundberg absolutely grabbed hold of the role and it sounds fantastic when the two of them go up against each other.”
