Empowering Futures: The Dr. Charles Thomas Scholarship
In a powerful partnership with I Know I Can, a college-access organization dedicated to opening doors for promising students, Ohio Wesleyan is honored to offer the prestigious Dr. Charles Thomas Scholarship. This scholarship, named in honor of the inspiring Doctor Charles and former OWU student, Dr. Charles Thomas, embodies his courage, character, and impactful life.
The Dr. Charles Thomas Scholarship provides 25 deserving high school seniors annually with significant financial aid. Specifically, students from the Central Ohio school districts served by I Know I Can – Columbus City Schools, Reynoldsburg City Schools, South-Western City School District, or Whitehall City Schools – are eligible to receive a scholarship covering at least full tuition for up to four years at Ohio Wesleyan. This substantial support, comprised of federal, state, and institutional funds, is determined based on each student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) results.
Ohio Wesleyan’s dedication to this initiative makes us I Know I Can’s most significant scholarship provider, reflecting our deep commitment to accessibility and opportunity. Recipients of the Dr. Charles Thomas Scholarship must maintain good academic standing throughout their time at Ohio Wesleyan to retain the scholarship.
